Hardly difficult is it, servers been up and down more times than a *****s knickers lately, but this thread does deliver, even if the servers don't :)

K I'm taking bets on how long it takes for this thread to go down, the servers are broke so I need entertaining, otherwise I'm gonna have go bleed on somebody on CSS.

I'm in the UK here. Anyone else care to provide where they are in the world instead of howling about CCP first? You know, engage some actual thought process to the situation instead of jumping to conclusions? Or do we all work for Microstof as Bill Gates' lead developers and have PHD's in computer programming and network administration now and know better but just complain instead?

Servers are down now bud, Sheesh right back at yah :)

"Update On Server Status" there's a python lose in the server room and oveurs scared of snakes, they are presently feeding it hamsters in an attempt to coax it out again :)

"Update of the server update" Delayed startups are due to the fact that they fed oveurs car keys to the python mistakenly and has given the python indigestion.
Please wait 10mins for the andrews powders to work :)

The andrews powders have worked a little too well, oveur has his keys back (brown key fob ftw). And has gone to his car for a little cry, and CCP are currently closing all stargates to prevent the python from filling anywhere other than jita with sewage.

Eve O is considered to be somewhat of a technical marvel by those that know about super computing clusters, and huge databases. How meny of us can really say they have the same level of experiance as CCP in using their own custom designed cluster software, that supports an aveerage of 20,000 simultanious users all making hundreds of database entries per minute each. All of this and it's 23/7 365 days a year, not including unplanned outages and updates, but even with those included it would still amount to over 95% uptime. There's a reason that their server cluster is one of the largest outside of academia, and thats because even the banks don't run their systems on such a large scale. And to top it all, you get 24/7 server support at no extra cost to the customer.
Give em a break, they don't want the servers down any more than we do, to us it's a lack of entertainment, so we go load another game and play on, for them it's a way to feed the family, eve goes down, loses even 1 customer then they have less in the long run.
The server will settle down and we'll find summat else to moan about till the next patch, hope the next thread is as funny as this one :)
